Deutsche Bank Climate Change Advisors (2009)

Deutsche Bank wanted to mount a public awareness campaign about worldwide greenhouse gas emissions. I helped concept and design a Carbon Counter calculating a real-time estimate of emissions into the atmosphere, displaying the number across a 30 foot wide billboard in New York City. To help publicize the campaign, a teaser website and billboard were designed to raise awareness and interest. For the second phase, a new sign, website, and downloadable desktop widget all pulled the estimate from a centrally located computer running an algorithm developed at MIT. The sign, located at 33rd and 7th Avenue outside of Penn Station is seen by thousands of people each day.
