I decided to do some research on the subject and see what the pros and cons are all about.<\/p>\n<p>Because of the demise of the Binder Bulletin, links and information are hard to come by, but I found a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.binderplanet.com\/forums\/showpost.php?p=261519&#038;postcount=18\">reprint of the original post here.<\/a> <em>Edit:<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.justih.org\/Binder-Bench\/showthread.php?s=&#038;threadid=2785\">Here&#8217;s another good post<\/a> with some pictures.<\/p>\n<p>From what I read, the benefits are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Better stopping power<\/li>\n<li>Better reliability vs. 30-year-old vacuum system<\/li>\n<li>Easy parts sourcing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It all sounds great, but I&#8217;ll have to hit a junkyard and find an Astro to pull from, which isn&#8217;t happening for a few cold months. So I&#8217;d have to call this a back-burner project for a day when I&#8217;ve got some time and money, but not a necessity.
