This is not accurate because the ratio gear on the odometer hasn&#8217;t been adjusted for larger tires (so, for example, 50mph indicated = 63mph). Doing a little back of the envelope <a href=\"https:\/\/www.calculatorsoup.com\/calculators\/math\/ratios.php\">math<\/a> for the actual ratio (6 : 7.7) tells me that the actual mileage is somewhere around 12,100.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1170\" height=\"878\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.billdugan.com\/scout\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_5560.jpg?resize=1170%2C878\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1955\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.billdugan.com\/scout\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_5560.jpg?w=3264&amp;ssl=1 3264w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.billdugan.com\/scout\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_5560.jpg?resize=400%2C300&amp;ssl=1 400w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.billdugan.com\/scout\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_5560.jpg?resize=768%2C576&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.billdugan.com\/scout\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_5560.jpg?resize=1024%2C768&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.billdugan.com\/scout\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_5560.jpg?w=2340 2340w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1170px) 100vw, 1170px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In that time I&#8217;ve spent a total of $3449.51 in parts and labor, or an average of $383.28 a year in maintenance (not including fuel, fluid top-offs, or horse-trading for parts or repairs).\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The trip to Ohio was 982 highway miles (via Google), plus maybe 10 miles of running back and forth through Troy to and from the hotel. I&#8217;m figuring about 11mpg based on our consumption and Peer Pressure&#8217;s limit of about 8 gallons per fill-up.
