{"id":3081,"date":"2022-02-24T05:29:02","date_gmt":"2022-02-24T13:29:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.billdugan.com\/scout\/?p=3081"},"modified":"2022-02-24T05:29:02","modified_gmt":"2022-02-24T13:29:02","slug":"schoolbus-yellow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.billdugan.com\/scout\/2022\/02\/24\/schoolbus-yellow\/","title":{"rendered":"Schoolbus Yellow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This Scout came up for sale last week on Marketplace somewhere out west, and I thought it was interesting because it&#8217;s an example of IH&#8217;s Schoolbus Chrome Yellow, a color that was offered through the entire run of Scout II production but a color I&#8217;ve only ever seen in these pictures and on the donor hood and hinges of my Scout.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3082\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.billdugan.com\/scout\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Schoolbus-Yellow-1.jpg?resize=960%2C720\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.billdugan.com\/scout\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Schoolbus-Yellow-1.jpg?w=960&amp;ssl=1 960w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.billdugan.com\/scout\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Schoolbus-Yellow-1.jpg?resize=400%2C300&amp;ssl=1 400w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.billdugan.com\/scout\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Schoolbus-Yellow-1.jpg?resize=768%2C576&amp;ssl=1 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This one looks like it was a reasonably well-optioned 1978 model for some kind of local government or school system; it&#8217;s got hubcaps and chrome trim, and was spec&#8217;d as a V-8 manual with A\/C and a split bench seat (it&#8217;s from Texas).
